The Ravanmark Saga

The Ravanmark Saga is a series of epic fantasy novels, of the type I used to affectionately call “doorstopper fantasy”.  The first involves the transport of a young music teacher named Alannys to the land of Ravanmark, where music is a form of magic, along with painting, sculpting and many others.  Despite the desperate circumstances that drove Alannys to Ravanmark, she soon begins to suspect that things are not as the seem there–the place could be deadly dangerous to her, if she doesn’t learn what she can do, and fast.

Strange and often uncontrollable magic with dangerous and unpredictable costs, secret plots to overthrow the monarchy, and prophesied heroes with the power to remake the world–does this sound like something that might interest you?  If so, here are links to the series at all major retailers:

The series has its own website at www.ravanmark.com, where you can find more information on Ravanmark and the people who inhabit it.

  1. I just finished Trials of the Redeemer and found reference to a fourth book at the end. Do you have any idea when Acts of the Redeemer will be available at Barnes & Noble?

    • Thanks so much for stopping by! The fourth book is scheduled for release in October. It will be listed with all the major retailers–including Barnes & Noble. I’ll be sending out a blast to the New Releases mailing list, and posting a notice here, when it goes live.

      Thanks for reading!

      • That’s great! As soon as I see a definite release date, I’ll add it to my calendar.

    • I’m so sorry this has sat so long! Something went sideways with my notifications, and I just saw it. I’m so glad you’re enjoying it! Book Five is currently in development, and I’ll be announcing it everywhere I can think of when it’s available! 🙂

    • Hey, thanks for coming by! I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying the books! Book Five is being written right now. I don’t have a date for it just yet, but as soon as I do I’ll be posting it here and over on the Facebook page!

  3. I just finished Book 4 and was looking for book 5. Any idea when it will be available for purchase? I am really enjoying this series!

    • Hi Wanda! Thanks for coming by! I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying the books! I’m working on Book Five right now–I just put the manuscript away before coming to write this. 🙂 I don’t have a date for it just yet, but as soon as I do I’ll be posting it here and over on the Facebook page!

    • Hi Mike, I’m so glad you came by! Book 5 is in final revision as we speak. It’s taking longer than I anticipated 😦 because it’s so long; it’s on track to be the longest in the series so far. I hope to be able to announce a release date soon!

      • Eagerly anticipating book 5! This series has kept me company (and awake) at 3am with my 7 week old daughter. who, on occasion I talk to about the characters (I am hoping this will stimulate a love of books!) Thank you for four fabulous books that have kept me enraptured throughout. Can you recommend another of your titles, whilst we wait for a release date? Your personal favourite perhaps? 🙂

      • Hello Maria,

First I want to sincerely thank you for your comments. I’m experienced in sitting up with the wee ones, and I’m so glad that something I wrote was able to be a part of your life at a time that can be both trying and wonderful 🙂 I am flogging away on Book Five.

Recommending another title, though, is the part of your question I have struggled with. I don’t have much available outside of the Ravanmark series. I do have the Alexis Brooks series, which also involves a lot of music, but the similarities end there. It’s romantic suspense, in the modern day, written in first person, and with all those differences, I don’t know how much it would appeal to Ravanmark readers!

Thank you so much for sticking with me through four long books, and I hope to have book five ready for you soon.

        Thanks!
        Sandra
